Support in times of need can be the single most important factor in a healthy walk through grief. Often times people are left feeling alone because they don’t think anyone around them understands their pain. This will likely lead to unhealthy choices like reaching for substances or losing touch with the person you once were.
Support can help people talk through their emotions and issues and get another perspective. It also helps people to know that they are not alone in their feelings. Here at Strength for the Journey that is one of our biggest missions. We are here to connect people with other people who understand the deep emotions associated with all types of grief. We want to build a strong community of people who are there for each other, whether it be a phone call, an email, meet ups or any other type of communication to keep the conversation going and the support real.
